Rizman Rappaport is not only New Jersey’s premier court reporting agency, but its principal is a “Who’s Who” for reporting in the Northeast.
In a day when too many court reporting principals have retired from active practice, the owner of this firm is a working court reporter. Whether covering court duties, medical malpractice cases, personal injury situations, environmental actions or many other legal matters, you may find Howard Rappaport personally covering your case.
Our principal has almost 53 years of court reporting experience. The firm began in 1976 under the name United States District Court Reporters; then changed its name in 1995 when Jerry Rose joined their reporting ranks, which is composed of only State licensed certified court reporters. In 2016, Howard Rappaport became the sole owner of the firm.
While 90 percent of the firm’s work is deposition reporting, court reporters are provided for municipal zoning boards, professional conventions, stockholder meetings, State court trials, arbitrations and anywhere else that court reporting services are required. The firm’s specialties are complex litigation, including commercial, environmental, medical malpractice, intellectual property, antitrust, patent infringement, employment and Title 7 litigation.
Our principal has traveled across the globe to “make the record” at the request of attorneys. For example, the firm was called on for the preparation of immediate copy transcripts before the Court of International Trade in Switzerland during a two-month arbitration proceeding.
