These Terms & Conditions apply to every engagement with Rizman Rappaport Court Reporters. Please read them carefully; by scheduling a proceeding or using this site you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the website and the court reporting, deposition, realtime, legal videography, videoconferencing, transcription and related services provided by Rizman Rappaport Court Reporters (“Rizman Rappaport,” “we,” “us” or “our”). By requesting services, scheduling a proceeding, or using this website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Our Services

Rizman Rappaport Court Reporters provides State-licensed certified court reporters and related litigation-support services across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and, on request, nationwide. Availability of a specific reporter, videographer, interpreter or technology is subject to scheduling and confirmation.

3. Scheduling, Confirmation & Cancellations

Assignments are booked on a first-confirmed basis. Requests are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing (including email) by our scheduling team.

Cancellations or adjournments should be provided as early as possible. Late cancellations, no-shows and adjournments made after a reporter, videographer or interpreter has been dispatched may be subject to appearance, travel or minimum-time fees consistent with industry practice.

4. Fees, Invoicing & Payment

Charges may include appearance/per-diem fees, per-page transcript rates, expedited or daily delivery surcharges, exhibit handling, videography, videoconferencing, interpreter and travel costs. An estimate is available on request.

Invoices are due upon receipt unless other terms are agreed in writing. The ordering party and, where applicable, their firm are jointly responsible for payment regardless of case outcome or third-party reimbursement. Past-due balances may accrue interest as permitted by law.

5. Transcripts, Delivery & Turnaround

Standard, expedited and daily turnaround options are offered and quoted at the time of scheduling. Delivery timelines begin once the proceeding concludes and any required readback or corrections are complete.

Certified transcripts are prepared to applicable New Jersey and federal formatting standards. Copies ordered by opposing parties are billed separately at prevailing rates.

6. Confidentiality

Rizman Rappaport Court Reporters treats the substance of all proceedings as confidential and limits access to assigned personnel bound by professional obligations. We will honor lawful protective orders and confidentiality stipulations of which we are timely notified in writing.

7. Ownership of Transcripts & Work Product

The certified stenographic record and resulting transcript are the professional work product of the reporter and Rizman Rappaport until paid in full. Upon full payment, the ordering party receives a license to use the certified transcript for the litigation for which it was prepared. Unauthorized alteration of a certified transcript is prohibited.

8. Client Responsibilities

The ordering party is responsible for providing accurate proceeding details (date, time, location or secure video link, caption, witnesses and special requirements), for securing the venue and any necessary permissions, and for ensuring participants have suitable connectivity for remote proceedings.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rizman Rappaport Court Reporters is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from services or website use. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to a specific assignment shall not exceed the fees paid to us for that assignment. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Website Use & Intellectual Property

The content, design, logos and materials on this website are owned by or licensed to Rizman Rappaport and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or exploit them without permission. Third-party links are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.

11. Privacy

Information you submit through this website or in the course of scheduling is handled in accordance with our privacy practices and used to provide and improve our services. Do not submit privileged or sensitive case material through general web forms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the current version and applies to services requested after its posting date.
